Another 'Supernatural' reunion occurs with the addition of Jeffrey Dean Morgan in 'The Boys' Season 4 in a mystery role.

The addition of Jeffrey Dean Morgan to the cast of the Amazon superhero series "Supernatural" for Season 4 is sure to delight fans of the long-running CW series, as it represents yet another reunion between a former cast member and "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke, who is currently the showrunner of "The Boys."

The character of "Walking Dead" actor Morgan will remain a mystery for the time being, but he will appear frequently as a guest star on "The Boys" in its upcoming fourth season.

Morgan is the most recent "Supernatural" celebrity to appear in "The Boys," with Ackles joining the cast in the third season to play the evil Soldier Boy (who had a nasty toxic masculinity streak due to his relationship with a dismissive father) and Jim Beaver, who played Bobby Singer, the surrogate father of Sam and Dean on "Supernatural," playing politician Robert Singer since the show's debut.

In the case of Morgan, this casting has been years in the making. The actor first expressed his enthusiasm for the series on Twitter in 2020 and accepted Kripke's invitation to join for Season 3 if he was free.

Padalecki would be the next big acquisition if Kripke continues the "Supernatural" reunion casting, as he previously told Variety he would "love" to have him make an appearance.

In an interview with Variety on June 8, Kripke said, "He's always welcome on the show." "Up until this point, the man has appeared on a network programme with however many episodes it has, like, a lot more than eight. As a result, he works throughout the year and is currently generating his spinoff, adding to his already substantial empire. He has been quite active. And it has been difficult to even determine when he is free. However, if he had the choice and was now jobless, I would immediately cast him on "The Boys."

Season 4 of the superhero parody on Prime Video will see Jeffrey Dean Morgan return, reuniting him with Boys showrunner and current Supernatural boss Eric Kripke. Morgan's role is being kept completely under wraps.

This is the second Supernatural reunion on the programme since Jensen Ackles debuted as Soldier Boy in Season 3. (Spoiler alert: Ackles' character probably won't return for the next season.)

I'll make you a deal," Kripke tweeted ahead of Season 2 of the show, indicating his previous intention to cast Morgan in the series. 3 seasons I'll write it, so come shoot it if you can! In a heartbeat!" Morgan responded, ready to go for it.

For Season 4 of Amazon's The Boys, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead, Supernatural) has joined the series as a recurrent guest star. He will play a character, but specifics are still unknown.

With his involvement on the programme, Morgan will once again work with The Boys showrunner and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. He had a recurring role as John Winchester on the CW series while he was there.

In a recent interview with E! News, Kripke discussed his efforts to get Morgan to appear in the upcoming season, saying, "Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a superfan of the show, so he and I are talking. We're attempting to come up with a plan for season four. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but he and I are talking and emailing to see what we can work out.
